The purpose of this church is to worship God, preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and celebrate the Sacraments. We aim to foster Christian fellowship and unity within our church and the universal Church, render loving service to all people, and strive for righteousness, justice, and peace.

We acknowledge Jesus Christ as our sole head, the Son of God and the Savior of all. We recognize as brothers and sisters in Christ everyone who shares this confession.

We turn to the Word of God found in the Scriptures and rely on the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to guide our creative and redemptive work in the world. We embrace the faith of the historic Church as expressed in the ancient creeds and reaffirmed through the insights of the Protestant Reformers. Each generation bears the responsibility of making this faith its own.

In accordance with the teachings of our Lord and the practices common among evangelical Christians, we recognize two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, or Holy Communion.
